About aileen white
Aileen White is a Chartered Physiotherapist and qualified with a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy in 2002. She has specialised in the assessment and treatment of muscular, tendon, joint and ligament (musculoskeletal) problems since 2004.
Aileen has worked as a Senior Physiotherapist, predominantly in various departments in the NHS – Outpatients, Accident and Emergency, on Orthopaedic wards and in Hydrotherapy.
In 2010 Aileen qualified in acupuncture through the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists. Acupuncture enhances her ability to reduce pain and muscle spasm associated with musculoskeletal problems.
In 2018, Aileen took up a post as an Extended Scope Practitioner. She continued in her previous role but also and worked in GP practices taking on a proportion of the GPs musculoskeletal caseload, providing advice and exercises and where necessary she referred patients along additional routes of care such as for a course of physiotherapy treatment, X-rays, scans, injections or to specialist consultants.
Aileen has recently moved from Surrey to Devon and enjoys walking, cycling and going to the beach with her husband and 3 children. She also loves to do Pilates - when she gets a childfree moment! Aileen is looking forward to getting out and about exploring beautiful East Devon (and its tearooms!) and trying her hand at some water-based pursuits.
